Patient Care Technician (PCT) Training

Are you interested in taking the first step toward a nursing career? The PCT (often referred to as a Certified Nurse Assistant), assists in providing assigned patient care activities, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The PCT Training course, available on the Saint Thomas Hospital campus, prepares individuals with some college or healthcare setting experience an entry step into the nursing profession.

Training Course Information:
Course available at Saint Thomas Hospital campus, availability varies throughout the year
6-week paid program consisting of classroom and clinical skills training
Training takes place Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm
Work hours following training will vary based on staffing needs
Employment agreement required, following course completion

Course Requirements:
2 years college or 3 years employment in a healthcare setting.
