Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Clinical Pharmacist Specialist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to neonates in the NICU and high-risk obstetric patients in Baptist Hospital through integrated drug distribution, clinical services, research, and teaching.
Maintains professional expertise in the assigned clinical pharmacy specialty. Coordinates, implements, and manages the program/services and serves on related committees. Also assures appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and monitoring of medication orders.
Education
Graduate from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
Experience
Must possess a Pharm.D. degree
Completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency required Completion of a Pediatric Specialty Residency preferred License (or eligible for licensure) as a pharmacist in Tennessee Competent in the defined aspects of medication therapy for NICU and high-risk OB patients
Licensure
Licensed as a Pharmacist(D.Ph) in the State of Tennessee.
